There are many questions that our parents cannot answer. Parents are our source of wisdom, character building, wellbeing and the great shapers of who we become. They are in my view the highest authourity on earth. I believe they are God's assistants carrying out the tasks he assigns them. They shine in this role brightly but fail miserably too because they are human and carry the failings of the failings of their parents and parents before them. While also passing on the wisdom from the ages handed down through parents parents to infinity.
Where parents fail, our spiritual man fills the void providing the necessary learnings. That is why spirituality is important in reconnecting us to the source, where we reset , rejuvenate and renewal happens. In parental failings, brokenness occurs, low self esteem, self doubt and unworthiness is instilled in us as parents strive to correct us, punish us in an effort to enforce adherence to their instructions. Little do they know the damage they cause at that moment in time. It is in our adulthood as we become aware we trace back where our brokenness began.
With counseling and coaching and mentorship we start resetting the knobs, but to where? You can only reset to where it all began, at creation.
That takes you back to the higher force, bigger than you and me, bigger than our parents and beyond the universe. A source only you can connect with at a very personal level.
Once you connect, you know it as healing as peace engulfs you, love and hope kick in and self compassion and compassion for others settles in your mind, heart and body. You care for yourself and care for others, you are kinder and comforting to others effortlessly. You flow with nature.
You plan and execute your plans with ease knowing that if the plans are not the right fit for you, they will correct themselves as you go with the flow for there is a higher being guiding you, holding your hand, swimming with you in the storms of life whispering, soothing you, assuring you and hugging you that it is okay and all will be alright.
That is your spiritual man at work. How is your spiritual life?
